 Leia Pittman
Leia Pittman, a freshman Lady Eagle and Business Major, comes to Lambuth University from College Heights Christian School in Joplin, Missouri. She has a brother Davi who is twenty nine and a sister, Terri, who is thirty one. Leia is the daughter of David and Peggy Pittman.  Leia was born on October 17, in Southern Louisiana where she lived for five years. After spending four years in Indiana and ten years in Missouri, Leia is excited about her move to Tennessee. Relationships are very important to her, and she is looking forward to all of the new relationships she will start at Lambuth. Leia loves both playing and coaching volleyball. As a player, she started and lettered as a varsity player all four years of high school. She broke and reset the school blocking record each year she played, ending her senior year with 167 blocks, more than tripling the old school record. Leia had 499 career blocks. In her junior and senior years, Leia led her team in blocking, attack, spiking and kills. Leia  earned the "High Flyer Award" three consecutive years. Her vertical is ten feet. In addition to high school tournament and camp awards, Leia was selected as All-State Honorable Mention her senior year. She also played club ball each winter in the off season and coached younger girls every chance she was afforded.

High School Highlights: Springdale High School (Springdale, Ark.): Biddy was MVP and co-captain in 9th grade.  She was MVP as a junior, and captain in her junior and senior years.  Kat was also selected and accepted to the AAO Top 25 camp as a junior and won the 110% award at the AAO camp.  Biddy was chosen to the All-Tournament team in Paris, Arkansas. Her club experience earned her the best passer award, and a MVP award. Academically, Kat was in the International Baccalaureate Programme at Springdale High School for two years.  She was a part of the Duke University talent show and was accepted to People Ambassadors for ten years.

Van Buren's Harris Commits to Hendrix

 

Kelsey Harris
Hendrix College in Conway has received a verbal commitment from Van Buren High School's Kelsey Harris to play volleyball for the Warriors in the fall of 2006.

Harris comes to the Hendrix community from Van Buren High School's volleyball program. The daughter of John and Kelly Harris, Kelsey is a three-year letterman for the Van Buren team. Harris was selected to AAO Top 25 in volleyball in 2004 and 2005. While attending Van Buren, Kelsey participated with Ozark Juniors for three years and Fort Smith Juniors fro two years. This former Van Buren Pointer graduated from Van Buren High School with honors in 2006.

“Kelsey Harris is an outstanding athlete who excels on and off of the court. We are excited she has chosen Hendrix College and look forward to her contribution to this team” said Women’s Head Coach Mary Ann Schlientz.

IN 2006Kristin Seaton redshirted the 2006 season after being injured in a late summer accident.
AS A FRESHMAN (2005)
As a freshman, Arkansas native Kristin Seaton had a solid year hitting .193 with 49 kills in limited action. The Fort Smith, Arkansas, native posted a career-best 12 kills against St. Louis adding a career-best 37 total attempts in the five-game match. Seaton recorded a career-best eight block assists and eight total blocks against the Bilikins as well. Seaton’s role will continue to expand her sophomore year.
AT NORTHSIDE
Seaton became the second Fort Smith, Ark., product in program history, joining 2004 graduate Jennifer Haaser, although the pair would have been high school rivals. Seaton’s honors and awards are numerous both at her club and at Northside. A 2004 Prep Volleyball High School All-American, she was a member of the U.S. National A2 volleyball team. She was named one of the top 50 recruits for the class of 2005, and earned Arkansas River Valley Sports Athlete of the Year honors. Seaton was a four-time Conference AAAAA West team selection and earned four conference all-tournament team honors during her prep career. Seaton collected several all-tournament team honors while helping the Lady Bears to their first-ever AAAAA Conference title in 2004 and a pair of final four appearances in 2002 and 2004, and garnered two all-state and two state all-tournament team honors. As a sophomore she led the conference in kills with 550. As a junior she was the conference leader in kills with 658 and blocks with 188, and as a senior paced the league in kills with 680 and blocks with 179 finishing with 1,888 career kills. Named MVP of the Arkansas All-Star match while representing the West, Seaton was a three-time all-conference selection in basketball and track at Northside.

Born March 5, 1987, Kristin Jean Mary Mildred Seaton is the middle of three children to Dana and Carol Seaton of Fort Smith, Ark. She has an older brother, Seth, and younger sister, Brooke. She is majoring in kinesiology at Arkansas.
