5th-7th Grade League Volleyball Rules
1. All matches are 2 out of 3 sets to 25 points win by 2.
Third set is to 15 points (switch at 8).
2. A coin flip will determine the server for the first set. If there is a third set in a match, a second coin flip will take place to determine who serves.
3. All matches will be rally score
4. WHEN SERVING: You are allowed to serve anywhere behind the designated serving line. The serving line will be 6ft. into the regular size court. The server is allowed 8 sec. to serve the ball. Each player has 2 chances to serve the ball. The first serve must be an over hand serve. If the first serve does not go over, the player is allowed the make a second attempt. The second serve can be either over hand or under hand.
A player can score not more than 5 points on the serve. If a player has served 5 times and the team has won all 5 points, the opposing team will get the ball and a chance to serve. However, no point will be awarded for the side-out.
5. You may start a match with no less than 4 players. If you have less than 4 players the
match will be considered a forfeit.
6. You will get 2 (30 sec.) time –outs per game.
7. There will be no limit on substitutions. All players must rotate through zone 6.
