(L to R) Maribeth Frazer (AC NMWA board member), Peter Remoy (Plum Creek representative), and artist Linda Palmer.
| The Arkansas Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts was
awarded a $6,000 grant from the Plum Creek Foundation to support the Arkansas Champion Trees
traveling exhibition. The exhibition consists of a series of 18
drawings by Hot Springs artist Linda Palmer documenting Champion trees
in the state of Arkansas. Project Manager Barbara Satterfield says "The
Arkansas Champion Trees exhibit will bring students, teachers
and families together to learn more about Arkansas' greatest natural
resource . . . With Plum Creek's support, we will be able to branch out
to communities statewide to show the work of a very talented female
artist." Click here to see a video about the project.
